A post yesterday at Compassion International’s blog reminded me of a vital prayer request that we should be praying for our kids (and your sponsored children if you have them).  Amber Van Schooneveld wrote:

Sponsored children need courage when it comes to standing up to their peers, believing the truth of God’s Word amid desperate situations, and even standing up against injustice. Pray that your sponsored child would find strength and courage in the Lord for whatever he or she faces each day.

Granted our kids aren’t necessarily facing the same types of challenges that kids in Third World countries are, but they too need courage in following Christ when it isn’t popular to don in a culture that is growing ever more hostile to our faith.

So let’s pray for courage for our kids.
