Remission is a Beautiful Word
We just learned today that we can consider Morgan’s Hodgkin’s Lymphoma to be officially in remission. Praise God! We love hearing that word!
His CT scan that was done today showed that there has been some shrinkage after radiation. There is still some bulk there, but his oncologists believe that to be scar tissue which apparently is common. His white blood cell counts still haven’t quite recovered after radiation so he’s still at risk for infection – it’ll just take time for bone marrow to recover enough to produce higher amounts.
We still don’t have a date on his port being removed, but that should be sometime this month.
So we still have a few things to go, but this is awesome news and we thank God for it. It’s hard to believe it has been almost seven months since he was first diagnosed – time flies!
